INFORMATIONAL

Kirk T. Schroder, President of the Board of Education, is 
requesting your help to identify students, faculty, staff 
members, or school organizations that have distinguished 
themselves, their school, and their community by 
receiving state, regional, or national awards or honors.   
These may be honors bestowed by academic groups, civic 
organizations, professional societies, or any other 
entity you deem worthy of recognition by the Board of 
Education. 

At each of its upcoming monthly meetings, the board would 
like to honor those whose hard work and dedication have 
been recognized by professional organizations, civic 
groups, academic societies, or other entities.   Mr. 
Schroder, on behalf of the board, will write a letter of 
congratulations, or, if you feel special recognition is 
warranted, the board may invite the recipient(s) to be 
present at a board meeting to receive recognition in 
person.  In this way, the members of the state board can 
acknowledge the many outstanding students and teachers 
who bring honor to our schools and communities.

If, at any point now or in the future, you know of 
students, student organizations, and staff members in 
your division who have received a state, regional, or 
national award, or a special community recognition, 
please let us know.  

For your convenience, we have attached a form that you 
may want to distribute to your staff, asking that they 
assist in identifying such individuals and organizations.
