Accompanying this memo is an informational booklet called Keeping Schools Safe:
Resources provided through the Department of Education. The publication is a
compendium of the programs and activities undertaken by the department to support
local school systems in their efforts to prevent school violence and maintain 
safe learning environments.  The booklet summarizes the printed materials, videos,
training opportunities, technical assistance, and other resources that may be 
obtained through the department.  It is intended to provide information for school 
personnel, parents, the media, community organizations, and all other persons 
interested in keeping our schools safe.
