| SUBJECT: | Payment of State Funds for 1999-2000 National School Lunch Programs |
The state reimbursement for the National School Lunch Program will be paid by Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) after the first of the New Year. These funds are identified as "STATE LUNCH FUNDS" on the EFT and must be credited to the school division's food service account. Attached is a list of the payment amounts that will be made for each school division. In accordance with federal regulations, the state payment to each school division is based on the total number of lunch meals claimed for reimbursement during school year 1998-1999. The state reimbursement rate for this year is approximately $0.0547 per lunch meal.
