|SUBJECT:||Virginia Educational Facility Planners (VEFP) Annual Conference February 28-29, 2000|
Enclosed is a brochure describing the VEFP Conference that we are co-sponsoring with Virginia Tech's Division of Continuing Education at the Hotel Roanoke on February 28-29, 2000. There will be a two-day interactive workshop on facilities and planning. The registration fee includes a banquet on Monday evening, a continental breakfast on Tuesday morning, and a lunch on Tuesday, as well as your room for Monday night. There also will be an exhibit of recent school projects completed in Virginia and a distinguished jury to recognize the most successful projects. Plaques will be presented to the architects and winning schools in four categories. A business meeting of VEFP is scheduled at the luncheon on Tuesday. This organization, now a chapter of the Council of Educational Facility Planners, Southeast Region, wants your input on future programs and meeting locations. Please plan to attend and express your needs to the Board of Trustees and participate in the election of new officers for the coming year. Please register directly with Virginia Tech using the form in the brochure. For questions on the program please call David L. Boddy, director, Facilities Services at (804) 225-2035. PDS:ya Enclosures: A hard copy of this memo and its attachment will be sent to the superintendent's office.
