Pursuant to the provisions of the "Regulations Governing Pupil
Transportation and Minimum Standards for School Buses in
Virginia, July 1, 1994," the following approved specifications
are enclosed for certain makes of school bus chassis for 2000
year models.

The option codes shown for some specified items have been
furnished by the manufacturer for the purpose of aiding
dealers in preparing orders for production. The option codes
may not be complete and are subject to frequent changes.
Dealers should contact their chassis manufacturer's
zone/district office for the latest information on ordering
codes.
The responsibility for manufacturing and selling buses that
comply with standards and specifications rests with
manufacturers and dealers. The responsibility for purchasing
buses that meet requirements rests with division
superintendents and local school boards.
Specifications for other buses powered by compressed natural
gas are being developed and will be available on a request
basis. Requests for additional copies and information about
the attached chassis specifications should be directed to the
