SUBJECT: Fiscal Year 2000 Application for Impact Aid 


We have received notice from the U.S. Department of Education that FY 2000 
applications have been sent to school divisions for Impact Aid.  The deadline for
submission of these applications is January 31, 2000.   Applications must be 
received by this date or bear a U.S. Postal Service postmark no later than this 
date to be considered as filed on time. Eligible applications received and postmarked
after this date will be accepted through March 31, 2000, but payments based on these 
applications will be reduced by 10 percent.

senior budget analyst, at (804) 225-2025. If you have any questions concerning the 
completion of the application forms, please contact the Impact Aid staff at the U. S.
