SUBJECT: Individual Student Alternative Education Program
The Virginia Department of Education will make $2,247,581 available for reimbursement of expenditures by school divisions for students with an Individual Student Alternative Education Plan (ISAEP) as set forth in Virginia School Law § 22.1-254.D. These funds are authorized under financial assistance for ISAEP services by the 1999 Virginia General Assembly and are offered contingent upon availability.
Reimbursement for the fiscal year 2000-2001 will be for services for students 16 years of age and older who meet the provisions established in the Code of Virginia and by the Board of Education. The provisions include:

Please submit your application no later than June 23, 2000. If no program is planned, write on the face of the application form your school division’s name and code, as well as the words NO PROGRAM IS PLANNED.
