| SUBJECT: | Correlation of Career and Technical Courses with Computer/Technology Standards of Learning |
Attached is a correlation of career and technical courses with the computer/technology standards to be achieved by the end of grade 12. This correlation will assist your staff in identifying where the application of these computer/technology standards currently exist in the curriculum. This will allow your staff to work with existing courses rather than add more courses or instruction to students’ already crowded schedules.
The career and technical education offerings are a realistic setting for students to apply skills and knowledge in a problem-solving environment. With 70 percent of the students enrolled in career and technical education offerings, the enclosed information should help your staff identify opportunities to obtain competency in these computer/technology standards.
