|SUBJECT:||School Administratorís Handbook of Course Codes, Position Codes and Licensure Endorsement Codes|
Enclosed is a revised copy of the School Administratorís Handbook of Course Codes, Position Codes and Licensure Endorsement Codes. A copy is also being sent to each middle and senior high school principal. The publication was produced by the Department of Education in such a manner that it can be separated and reproduced to make unlimited copies available for your use.
The handbook serves as a resource to school administrators, superintendents, directors of personnel, principals, and others who are responsible for developing programs of study and employing and scheduling school personnel. The purpose of the handbook is twofold: (a) to help school division personnel determine the correct and appropriate licensure endorsement(s) for each teacher and staff assignment, and (b) to provide school personnel with guidance in determining course offerings for their students.
Questions regarding course codes may be directed to Vernon L. Wildy, Office of Secondary Instructional Services, at (804) 225-2877. Questions regarding licensure endorsement codes may be directed to personnel in the Division of Teacher Education and Licensure at (804) 225-2022. Questions concerning the content of specific courses should be directed to the appropriate Department of Education content area specialists.
