Enclosed is your copy of Technology Enriched Administrators: Modules for Guiding the Integration of Educational Technology in Education. This document was produced as part of the Virginia Standards of Learning Training Initiative.
This publication provides a framework for technology training of division superintendents, principals, and other administrative staff. The primary focus of this manual is to address issues related to successful integration of technology in implementing the Standards of Learning. There are eight modules in the series. They are: Overview; Before We Begin; Understanding and Managing Technology Rich Settings; The Role of Technology in Education; The Role of Technology in Administration; Staying Ahead of the Game: Setting Your Own Course; Technology for Special Needs; and Observation and Integration: What Technology Leaders Need to Know. Each module includes an introduction, a study guide, discussion questions, and a list of resources.
Technology Enriched Administrators may be used as a self-paced tutorial aid or by staff developers in conjunction with technology training activities. A copy is also being mailed to school division technology coordinators.
