|SUBJECT:||2000-2001 Fall Membership Report|
The following information is
provided to notify you of changes in reporting fall membership that are
needed to bring Virginia into conformance with federal reporting guidelines.
The 2000 Fall Membership Report has been revised to include the student
membership count by gender and reporting students with disabilities and
students in alternative education programs by grade level. Changes in the
Fall Membership Report for the 2000-2001 school year include the following:
The data for the fall membership report should be submitted to the Office of Management Information Systems either in the Excel spreadsheet or ASCII flat file format. The format for the ASCII
flat file layout has been revised. A copy of the file layout is attached. A superintendent's memo with the final spreadsheets, file layouts, detailed instructions, and a list of edit procedures will be sent to division superintendents and posted on the Department of Educationís website in September 2000. The 2000 Fall Membership Report is due to the Department of Education on or before October 16, 2000.
