| SUBJECT: | Public Hearing for Regulations Governing Secondary School Transcripts |
The Virginia Board of Education will hold a hearing
on September 28, 2000, to solicit public comment on the proposed revised
Regulations Governing Secondary School Transcripts. Registration
of speakers will begin at 2 p.m. and the hearing will begin at 2:30 p.m.
Speakers will have three (3) minutes to speak and should bring written
copies of their comments for the Board. The hearing will be at the following
location:
General Assembly Building
Senate Room B
Ninth and Broad Streets
Richmond, VA 23219
The Regulations Governing Secondary School Transcripts standardize the manner in which schools record and report the courses each student has taken and the student’s academic performance in high school.
Written public comments will be accepted until October 27, 2000. Comments and questions may be addressed to Vernon L. Wildy, associate director for secondary instructional services, Virginia Department of Education, P. O. Box 2120, Richmond, Virginia 23218-2120.
