| SUBJECT: | 4-SAFE-VA Workshops |
Based on continued demand, the Virginia State Police, in conjunction with the Department of Education, will be providing two additional training workshops specifically for education and school personnel, entitled: "School Safety 101: Basic School Safety Training for School Personnel." These training workshops are designed to give a broad overview of current school safety issues including violence prevention, recognizing aggressive behavior in students and responding to critical incidents.
The schedule for the two workshops is as follows:
September 28, 2000, Richmond, John Tyler Community
College, Chester Campus
October 17, 2000, Williamsburg, The College of
William and Mary
