SUBJECT: 2000-2001 Annual School Report Statistical Section

The Annual School Report Statistical Section for the 2000-2001 school year should be completed and returned to the Department of Education no later than September 14, 2001. Early submission is encouraged.

The statistical section of the Annual School Report for the 2000-2001 school year will no longer request the end-of-year membership of ungraded students age 12 and above.

This report can only be submitted in Excel spreadsheet or ASCII flat file formats.

A custom-designed Annual School Report Statistical Section (ASRSTAT) spreadsheet can be downloaded from the Department of Educationís website at http://www.pen.k12.va.us by selecting "Reports" at the top of the homepage or "Data and Publications" at the bottom and then selecting "2000-2001 Annual School Report Statistical Section" under "Data Collection." The complete address to access the ASRSTAT spreadsheet is http://www.pen.k12.va.us/VDOE/Publications/asrstat/datacoll/coll.htm. Detailed instructions for completing and submitting the report and file layouts for ASCII flat files can also be found at this site. Excel 97 or later versions should be used to complete the ASRSTAT spreadsheet.

Information on the contact person for the 2000-2001 ASRSTAT is required. In the Excel spreadsheet, contact information can be updated on the contact worksheet. For those submitting an ASCII flat file, contact information is requested in the header record.
 

Each contact person for the ASRSTAT report should coordinate the collection of the data for the division and submit the data by e-mail to mailto:asrstat@pen.k12.va.us by the due date.
