SUPTS. MEMO NO. 34
July 6, 2001
|FROM:||Jo Lynne DeMary
Superintendent of Public Instruction
|SUBJECT:||Identification of Division Directors of Testing|
Each year the Department of Education requests division superintendents to designate division directors of testing. This memo conveys the request for the 2001-2002 school year. The division directors of testing are the official contacts for all activities related to state assessment programs. It is to these persons that all state assessment-related correspondence and questions are directed by the Department of Education.
You are being asked in this memo to designate: (1) a division director of testing for the Literacy Passport Testing (LPT) Program, and (2) a division director of testing for the Standards of Learning and norm-referenced program (the Stanford 9). These designations may, as in the past, be the same person.
Attached is a listing of the division directors of testing designated by you for the 2000-2001 school year. Please use this form to update your designations of division directors of testing for 2001-2002, review and correct mailing and shipping addresses, phone/fax numbers, and e-mail addresses. These forms should be returned to the Division of Assessment and Reporting by July 27, 2001. Questions should be directed to the staff of the Division of Assessment and Reporting at (804) 225-2102. Thank you for taking the time to update this information.
