This video was developed by the Department of Education in response to requests for information about the School Resource Officer program in Virginia. We acknowledge with grateful appreciation the cooperation of the Department of Criminal Justice Services in providing resources to fund this project.

This video includes information about the School Resource Officer (SRO) program in Virginia’s public schools. You will see SROs in action and hear from them, as well as from educators, about the positive impact the school/law enforcement partnership has had for students throughout the state.
