SUBJECT: Transmittal of "Statement of Administrative Impact and Projected Costs of Implementation" for the Proposed Revisions to the Regulations Governing Vocational Education (Career and Technical Education)

As part of its responsibilities for promulgating new regulations or revisions to existing regulations, the Board of Education is required to develop a statement of the administrative impact and the projected costs of implementing and complying with such regulations. The Board and the Department of Education are required to send a copy of the statement to each division superintendent [Refer to Section 22.1-17 of the Code of Virginia].

FISCAL IMPACT

The following statement for the Proposed Revisions to the Regulations Governing Vocational Education (Career and Technical Education) was accepted by the Board of Education. The proposed revisions would not increase the cost of implementing the program to the state or to localities.

ADMINISTRATIVE IMPACT

The Proposed Revisions to the Regulations Governing Vocational Education (Career and Technical Education) would have the following administrative impact on localities:

Superintendent's Memo No. 106, dated August 3, 2001, announcing the public hearing for the proposed revisions to the regulations governing vocational education (Career and Technical Education), gives the Internet address where the regulations can be downloaded.
