SUBJECT: School Health Advisory Board Annual Report
The Code of Virginia (22.1-275.1) requires each school division to have
a School Health Advisory Board (SHAB) comprised of no more than 20 community
representatives. Each School Health
Advisory Board also is required to submit an annual report on the status and
needs of student health in the school division to any relevant school, the
school board, the Virginia Department of Health, and the Virginia Department of
Education.
The 2001-2002
School Health Advisory Board Annual Report Form entitled SHAB Form(01-02) may
be downloaded from the website:

Please submit
two copies of the completed Annual
Report Form needed by July 1, 2002, to:

The
Department of Education will forward one of the copies to the Virginia
Department of Health.
