Survey of
Limited English Proficient(LEP)Students:
Part II |
A federal grant received by the Department of Education requires school divisions to report data on their limited English proficient (LEP) population. The data are collected in two parts to meet the date requirements set by the federal government. The data for part I of the survey of LEP students were reported as part of the fall 2001 membership data collection. The data required for part II of the survey are described below.
Part II of the LEP survey must be accessed electronically and
completed using Excel 97 or a later version.
The LEP survey can be downloaded from the Department of Educations Web
site at http://www.pen.k12.va.us by
selecting "Reports" at the top of the home page or "Data and
Publications" at the bottom of the page, and then selecting "LEP
Survey 2001-2002: Part II" from the "Collections" listing in the right-hand column. The complete address is:

Detailed instructions for completing and submitting the report are enclosed.
The data
should be submitted electronically by July 15,
2002,
