Training Workshops on
the Financial Portion of the Annual School Report for Fiscal Year 2002 |
The
Department of Education provided a general training session on the financial
portion of the Annual School Report (ASR) to more than 50 attendees at the
spring Virginia Association of School Business Officials (VASBO) conference in
May. In addition, the department is
offering several training opportunities in Richmond on the fiscal year 2002 ASR
report in August. The goal of this training is to demonstrate enhancements made
to the fiscal year 2002 report, including a new means for submitting the ASR
and verifying the reports submitted, and to review common questions and
mistakes. The department will provide
four workshops on the 18th floor of the James Monroe Building in
Richmond as follows:
Wednesday,
August 7, 2002, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
Wednesday,
August 7, 2002, 1-4 p.m.
Tuesday,
August 13, 2002, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
Tuesday,
August 13, 2002, 1-4 p.m.

by Friday, August 2, 2002. The size of
the training room limits each session to 30 participants. Reservations for each session will be made
on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Attachment A provides directions to the James Monroe Building. Please note that visitor sign-in with valid
identification (i.e., drivers license) is required for entry in the James
Monroe Building.
