SUBJECT:

Career and Technical Education Equipment Entitlements and Forms for Fiscal Year 2002

Attached are the career and technical education state equipment entitlements (Attachment A) for fiscal year 2002 and the reimbursement form (Attachment B). Reimbursement request forms should be submitted to Robert Almond, associate director for grant programs, any time during this fiscal year. However, final reimbursement request forms for fiscal year 2002 must be submitted to Mr. Almond by June 1, 2002.

Reimbursements may be submitted for the equipment listed in the Recommended Equipment Approved for Career and Technical Education Programs, 2001 edition, that can be found on the DOE Web page. All other purchased equipment must have a letter of prior approval from a state program specialist. Invoices are not to be submitted with requests, but maintained at the division level for audit.

Inventory of Equipment Purchased with Career and Technical Education Funds form (FORM NA.011) must be completed for any purchased items. Record/Item Numbers can be referenced from the Recommended Equipment Approved for Career and Technical Education Equipment Programs document under the individual program service number headings. The itemized list and invoices for each program service that shows the total amount being claimed on the reimbursement request must be on file at the division level for audit.

Reimbursements for eligible equipment in fiscal year 2002 will be 50 percent of the total expenditures claimed not to exceed your approved entitlement. Questions concerning the fiscal year 2002 entitlement, eligible equipment, or the equipment reimbursement process may be addressed to Mr. Almond at 804/225-3349, e-mail ralmond@pen.k12.va.us
