Technical Education Federal Perkins Act Revised Local Allocation for the
Period July 1, 2001, through June 30, 2002 |
Attached is
the list of revised fiscal year 2001 local allocations for federal Perkins
Grant funds, including fiscal year 2000 carryover funds. These funds will be distributed on a
reimbursement basis.
Each school
division must amend the local plan, prior to expenditure, to include the
additional funds. You may contact Mr.
James A. Gray, Jr. (mailto:jimgray@pen.k12.va.us),
associate director for career and technical education, at 804/225-2833, or Dr.
Neils W. Brooks (mailto:nbrooks@pen.k12.va.us),
director, Office of Career and Technical Education, at 804/225-2847 if you have
any questions concerning the amended local plan. Questions concerning the local allocations may be addressed to
Mr. Robert Almond (mailto:ralmond@pen.k12.va.us),
associate director for grants administration, at 804/225-3349. School divisions may only expend Perkins
funds in accordance with the approved local plan.
School
divisions final reimbursement requests must be received by June 1, 2002. Expenditures may be claimed through June 30,
2002.
Funds for the
2001-2002 school year cannot be carried over to the 2002-2003 school year.
Funds that are not claimed are reallocated to all school divisions based on the
federal formula. If you have questions
concerning the cutoff date for expending funds, please contact Mr. Robert
Almond.
