Fiscal Year 2002 Career and Technical Education
Entitlements (State Funds) |
The final fiscal year 2002 state entitlements for
career and technical education for each school division are contained in
Attachment A. These amounts will be
paid to school divisions on the April 30, 2002, electronic funds transfer for
occupational preparation and adult occupational programs.
Please note the following factors that affect the
payment amounts shown in Attachment A:
Distribution Methodology - State funds are distributed
to eligible school divisions based on available funding. In order to determine each school divisions
fiscal year 2002 allocation for occupational preparation and adult occupational
programs, available state funding is divided by total fiscal year 2001
expenditures to determine a reimbursement percentage for each program. For fiscal year 2002, it has been determined
that each eligible school division will be reimbursed for 29.74 percent of its
fiscal year 2001 occupational preparation expenditures and for 30.24 percent of
its fiscal year 2001 adult occupational program expenditures.
Local Occupational Preparation and Adult
Occupational Programs State funding is provided for these programs as a
reimbursement of prior year expenditures.
Those school divisions that did not operate a program in fiscal year
2001 and, therefore, did not record any local expenditures in fiscal year 2001
will not receive a state reimbursement in fiscal year 2002.
Questions concerning the state entitlements may be addressed to Mrs. Leigh H. Williams, senior budget analyst, at (804) 225-2025. If programmatic information is needed, please contact Dr. Neils W. Brooks, director, Office of Career and Technical Education Services, at (804) 225-2847 or Bob Almond, administrative manager for grants programs, at (804) 225-3349.
