Adult Education (GAE) Application for 2002-2003 |
The Virginia
Department of Education will make $1,051,800 available for the partial
reimbursement of expenditures made by school divisions for local General Adult
Education programs for the fiscal year 2002-2003. The funds are authorized under financial assistance for General
Adult Education provisions of the 2002 Virginia General Assembly and are
offered contingent upon availability.
Eligible
classes for reimbursement for the fiscal year 2002-2003 include adult high
school classes for credit, General Educational Development (GED) preparatory,
Americanization, and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
classes. Reimbursement will be based on
sixty percent of the total cost of the program.
Copies of the
forms necessary to complete your program application and a copy of Instructions for Preparing Program
Application and Request for Reimbursement for General Adult Education Programs
are attached. Please submit your application no later than June 28, 2002.
If no program
is planned, please write NO PROGRAM PLANNED on the face of the application
and include your division name and code.
