SUBJECT:

Individual Student Alternative Education Plan Program

 

The Virginia Department of Education will make $2,247,581 available in the fiscal year 2002-2003 for reimbursement of expenditures to school divisions with an Individual Student Alternative Education Plan (ISAEP) Program as set forth in the Code of Virginia 22.1-254.D. These funds are authorized under financial assistance for ISAEP program services Item Number 145H2, Chapter 899 (2002 Acts of Assembly) and are offered contingent upon availability.

 

Reimbursement for the fiscal year 2002-2003 will be for services for students 16 years of age and older who meet the provisions established in the Code of Virginia and by the Board of Education.

 

The application for ISAEP funds and the 2002-2003 allocations for school divisions are attached. Please submit your application no later than June 28, 2002. If no program is planned, write on the face of the application form your school divisions name and code, as well as the words NO PROGRAM IS PLANNED.
