This memorandum provides you with information about House Joint Resolution No. 169 that was passed during the 2002 General Assembly Session.

House Joint Resolution No. 169 acknowledges and supports the Accord reached between the Commonwealth of Virginia and the United States Department of Education Office for Civil Rights. The purpose of the Accord is to ensure progress towards the goal of ending segregation in Virginias system of higher education.
