SUBJECT:	Discontinuation of Standards of Learning Computer Technology Test

The purpose of this memo is to notify you that, beginning with the fall 2002 administration of the Standards of Learning tests, the computer technology tests will be discontinued. Prior to this fall, these tests were administered to fifth- and eighth-grade students.

Although computer technology will no longer be formally assessed, the computer technology standards remain in effect. Teachers should continue to provide instruction in the content of the standards when appropriate.
