SUBJECT:	Nurses Change Lives Campaign and the 100^th Anniversary School Nurses Conference October 25-26, 2002

The purpose of this memo is to inform you about the Nurses Change Lives campaign that will be initiated at this years 100^th Anniversary School Nurses Conference on October 25-26, 2002, at the Sheraton Richmond South in Midlothian, Virginia. Nurses Change Lives is a joint venture between the Governors Advisory Council on the Future of Nursing and the Virginia Partnership for Nursing and is designed to call attention to the needs and opportunities in the nursing profession.

Age-appropriate K-12 recruitment materials and posters promoting nursing career opportunities will be disseminated to all school nurses and school divisions throughout the commonwealth. A website supporting this initiative (www.nurseschangelives.com) will be launched.
