Project Graduation Survey

On June 3, 2003, Governor Warner announced Project Graduation, a program to help rising high school seniors meet requirements for a standard diploma in 2004. The Virginia Department of Education is conducting a survey to identify the number of seniors scheduled to graduate in 2004 who must still earn verified credits.

The Department of Education requests that each school division complete the attached survey. The survey requests information on the number of seniors scheduled to graduate with a standard diploma in 2004, the number of verified credits these seniors have earned, and information on whether locally awarded verified credits have been awarded.

Please notify Colleen C. Bryant, history and social science specialist, at cbryant@mail.vak12ed.edu or (804) 786-4640 by August 8, 2003, of the name of the contact person responsible for completing this survey. Please include the contact persons phone number and e-mail address.

The survey and a worksheet to assist in gathering the data are attached. Please submit the survey no later than August 22, 2003. Please do not send the worksheet with the survey.
