No Child Left
Behind Consolidated
Application State Accountability Workbook |
On January
28, 2003, the Board of Education approved the Consolidated Application State
Accountability Workbook, which details Virginias processes and timelines for
implementing the accountability requirements of the No Child Left Behind Act
of 2001. By approving the workbook,
the Board established various definitions and procedures and starting points,
intermediate goals and annual measurable objectives against which student
performance will be measured beginning with data from the current school year.
Implementation
of the policies and procedures detailed in the workbook is contingent upon
approval from the U.S. Education Department.
