SUBJECT:	Community Responses to Truancy: Engaging Students in School Videoconference

This is to provide information about a videoconference scheduled for April 30,2003, 1:30-3:00 p.m. The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention will provide the videoconference entitled, Community Responses to Truancy: Engaging Students in School.

During the videoconference, participants will be informed about causes of truancy and effective strategies that intervene with chronic truants, address root causes, and stop the progression of youth from truancy to more serious and violent behaviors.
