Student Alternative Education Plan Program |

The
Virginia Department of Education will make $2,247,581 available in the fiscal
year 2003-2004 to school divisions with an Individual Student Alternative
Education Plan (ISAEP) Program, as set forth in the Code of Virginia
22.1-254.D. These funds are authorized
by Chapter 2097 (2003 Acts of Assembly),
depending upon their availability.
Funds
for the fiscal year 2003-2004 will be for services for students 16 years of age
and older who meet the provisions established in the Code of Virginia and by
the Board of Education.
School
divisions will be notified of funding awards after receipt and review of
program applications. Funds may be sent
to the school divisions upon approval of applications. We anticipate that all funds will be sent no
later than October 2003. School
divisions will not be required to submit reimbursement request forms this
year.
The
application for ISAEP funds and the 2003-2004 allocations for school divisions
are attached. Please submit your
application no later than June 6, 2003.
If no program is planned, write on the face of the application form your
school divisions name and code, as well as the words NO PROGRAM IS PLANNED.
