General Adult Education (GAE) Application for
2003-2004 |
The Virginia Department of Education will make
$1,051,800 available for the partial reimbursement of expenditures made by
school divisions for local General Adult Education programs for the fiscal year
2003-2004. These funds were authorized
by action of the 2003 General Assembly.
Eligible classes for reimbursement for the fiscal
year 2003-2004 include adult high school classes for credit, General
Educational Development (GED) preparatory, Americanization, and classes for
English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). Reimbursement will be based on 60 percent of the total cost of
the program.
Copies of the forms necessary to complete your
program application and a copy of Instructions
for Preparing Program Application and Request for Reimbursement for General
Adult Education Programs are attached. Please submit your application no
later than July 11, 2003.
If no program is planned, please write NO PROGRAM
PLANNED on the face of the application and include the name of your division.
The application and the outline of the proposed
program are to be returned to:
