Student Record Data Collection Training
|
The Virginia
Department of Education (VDOE) will conduct training sessions for the new
student record data collection, Virginia STARS. This training will be held in
eight regions throughout the state. The following topics will be addressed in
each of the sessions:
Overview of the
individual student record data collection
Miscellaneous
aggregate data requirements
Student record
element requirements
Reporting
scenarios
Submission
process
Verification
and summary reports
It is recommended
that participants include school division student information system contact
persons and other staff who are directly involved with the collection and
submission of data regarding student membership, average daily
attendance/membership, graduation, dropouts, etc.
School divisions
interested in this training opportunity should complete the attached
registration form and fax it to Data Administration at (804) 371-8978. Participation is limited to two persons
per division.
