Final Title
IV, Part A(Safe and Drug-Free Schools Program) Entitlements for the 2003-2004
School Year |
Final allocations for Title IV, Part A: Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities
Act (SDFSCA) Program have been confirmed by the U.S. Department of Education as
follows:
Total Allocation to
Virginia $8,950,205
Governors Office (20%) $1,790,041
Virginia Department of Education (80%) $7,160,164
Of the amount allocated to the Department of
Education, funds will be distributed as follows:
School Divisions $6,658,953
(Entitlement 93%)
Department of Education $501,211
(Programs and Administration 7%)
Funds will be released in two phases. On July 1, 2003, 28 percent of the money was
made available to states and
school divisions.
The remaining 78 percent of the funds will be available on October 1,
2003. The attached table
provides a listing by school divisions of the SDFSCA
Program allocations.
Applications for Phase II Title IV, Part A funds
