Bill of Rights Poster for Schools |
On March 22, 2003, the General Assembly of Virginia
approved legislation requiring that all school boards prominently post the Bill
of Rights of the Constitution of the United States in each of their schools for
all students to read. The actual legislation enacted by the General Assembly
may be found in Chapter 902 of the Acts of Assembly at http://leg1.state.va.us/cgi-bin/legp504.exe?031+ful+CHAP0902.
The Virginia
Foundation for the Humanities, in collaboration with the Virginia Department of
Education, is pleased to present each school in Virginia with a copy of the
Bill of Rights of the Constitution of the United States. This copy of the Bill of Rights is suitable
for framing and posting in schools. The
poster measures 15 3/8 by 21 3/8. The scheduled mailing is September 22,
2003, to each school.
