SUBJECT:	2003-2004 Title I Comparability Report

In order to receive Title I, Part A, funds, a school division must annually verify comparability of services for Title I and Non-Title I schools as referenced in Section 1120A of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. To assist with completing the required calculations verifying Title I comparability, an Excel workbook was developed this year. The workbook is available on the Department of Educations Web page at http://www.pen.k12.va.us/VDOE/Instruction/comp.html.

This workbook is to be completed electronically and submitted to comp03-04@mail.vak12ed.edu. In addition, a hard copy of the signed cover page must be mailed to Gabie Frazier, Title I specialist, Office of Program Administration and Accountability, Virginia Department of Education, P.O. Box 2120, Richmond, Virginia 23218-2120. Both the signed cover page and the electronic data must be received by December 19, 2003.
