SUBJECT:	Submission of Division Remediation Report for Fiscal Year 2003-2004, Due Date: September 15, 2004

Regulation 8-VAC-20-630 provides standards for state-funded remedial programs and requires school divisions to report specified data pertaining to their state-funded remedial programs and annually evaluate the success of those programs.

In Superintendents Administrative Memo No. 3, dated January 30, 2004, divisions were informed that data specified in 8-VAC-20-630 regarding remediation programs conducted during the 2003-2004 school year as well as 2003 summer remedial programs must be submitted to the Department of Education by September 15, 2004.

The department has developed an electronic form for reporting this data. This report, Attachment A, is available at the following website: http://www.pen.k12.va.us/VDOE/Instruction/remediationreg.html. All reports will be submitted electronically to ksmith@mail.vak12ed.edu by September 15, 2004.
