2003-2004 Annual Report, Programs for the Gifted |
In 1999, the Code of Virginia was modified to provide that
each school
division shall submit the annual report, Programs for the Gifted, as
required by the Board of Education regulations. [22.1-18.1]
Each school division
will find its specific annual report spreadsheet and instructions for
completing the annual report on the departments Web page at the following
Internet address:

The 2003-2004
annual report, Programs for the Gifted, solicits information from school
divisions regarding membership and services in gifted programs. Users will note that information in items
#1, #2, and #3 of the 2004 annual report, Programs for the Gifted,
corresponds with data divisions submitted to the department in their student
data report dated March 31, 2004.
Divisions
should use Microsoft Excel 98 or higher to complete the annual report. Completed reports should be sent
electronically, as an attachment, to the Department of Education (gar2004@mail.vak12ed.edu) by
September 27, 2004. A copy of the cover
page with the superintendents signature should be mailed to Dr. Barbara
McGonagill, Office of Secondary Instructional Services, Virginia Department of
Education, P.O. Box 2120, Richmond, VA 23218-2120.
