SUBJECT:	2004-2005 Title I Comparability Report

In order to receive Title I, Part A, funds, a school division must annually verify comparability of services for Title I and non-Title I schools as stipulated in Section 1120(A) of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. To assist school divisions with completing the required calculations to verify Title I comparability, an Excel workbook has been developed. The workbook can be accessed via the Department of Educations website at

The required data should be entered into the workbook and submitted to CompRpt@mail.vak12ed.edu. After entering the data, a copy of the signed cover page must be mailed to Ms. Gabie Frazier, Title I specialist, Office of Program Administration and Accountability, Virginia Department of Education, P.O. Box 2120, Richmond, Virginia 23218-2120. The deadline for submission of the report and the signed cover sheet is December 17, 2004.
