Participation in Pilot Testing of the Educational Information Management System (EIMS) |
As you know, The Virginia Department of Education recently announced a
new partnership with Pearson Educational Measurement to develop an Educational
Information Management System (EIMS). The EIMS will feature:
Decision
Support Tools for Teachers and Administrators
Training for
Educators on Using Information to Make Better Decisions
Ability to
Pre-identify Students for State Assessments
Standard and
Ad-hoc Reporting.
The EIMS will be
piloted with a sample of school divisions from January to mid-May, 2004. We
invite you to apply to participate in the pilot. Pilot sites will be selected
based on geography, demographic factors, and extent of participation in the SOL
Technology Initiative.
The pilot project will
enable us to tailor the EIMS to your needs. I encourage you to consider
participating. The deadline for returning the application is January 22, 2004.
