Fiscal Year
2004 Career and Technical Education Entitlements (State Funds) |
The final fiscal year 2004 state entitlements for
career and technical education for each school division, including regional
center entitlements, are contained in Attachment A. Regional center entitlements will be paid directly to their
fiscal agent. The amounts contained in
Attachment A will be paid to school divisions on June 16, 2004, by electronic
funds transfer.
State funds distributed to eligible school divisions are based upon actual expenditures from the prior fiscal year and the total funds appropriated by the General Assembly for occupational preparation and adult occupational programs. To determine each school divisions fiscal year 2004 allocation for occupational preparation and adult occupational programs, state funding is divided by total fiscal year 2003 expenditures (both state and local funds) to determine a reimbursement percentage for each program. For fiscal year 2004, it has been determined that each eligible school division can be reimbursed for 28.39 percent of its fiscal year 2003 occupational preparation expenditures and for 32.11 percent of its fiscal year 2003 adult occupational program expenditures. Those school divisions that did not operate these programs in fiscal year 2003 and did not record any local expenditures in fiscal year 2003 will not receive a state reimbursement in fiscal year 2004.
Questions concerning the state entitlements may be addressed to Mrs. Becky Marable, grants administrator, at (804) 225-3349 or rmarable@mail.vak12ed.edu.
