Title V, Part A, Entitlements for the 2004-2005 School Year Under Provisions
of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, Public Law 107-110 |
The Virginia Department of Education
has been notified of an estimated allocation of $6,927,544 for Title V, Part A
Innovative Programs for 2004-2005.
From this estimated grant award, $5,888,413 will be allocated to school
divisions, with the remainder set aside for state-level activities. On July 1, 2004, all Title V, Part A, funds
will be made available to states and school divisions. However, a school divisions Title V, Part
A, application must be approved by the Virginia Department of Education before
it is eligible to receive the funds.
The attached table is a listing by
school division of the estimated Title V, Part A, entitlements for 2004-2005. These
allocations are considered estimates since the grant award notification has not
been received from the U. S. Department of Education. When the grant award notification is received, you will be
notified of any changes to these allocations in a subsequent memorandum.
Applications for Title V funding
should be submitted between July 1 and July 30, 2004. Please refer to Administrative Superintendents Memorandum Number
17, May 21, 2004, for detailed information about submission of all federal
program applications under Public Law 107-110, No Child Left Behind Act of 2001.
