SUBJECT:	Appointment of an Acting Director of School Nutrition Programs

This memorandum is provided to inform you of a recent change in the Office of School Nutrition Programs within the Division of Finance. The Director of School Nutrition Programs, Catherine Digilio Grimes, has been called to active military duty for approximately 18 months.

Effective September 7, 2004, Lynne A. Fellin was appointed Acting Director of School Nutrition Programs in the absence of Catherine Digilio Grimes. This assignment will be for approximately eighteen months or until Ms. Digilio Grimes returns from military deployment.

Ms. Fellin became a school nutrition specialist with the Department of Education in 1990 and has served as the associate director for the past two and one-half years. She has vast experience working with school divisions throughout the state in the areas of technical assistance, training, and monitoring.

The school nutrition specialist assigned to your school division will continue to be your primary contact for assistance; however, you may contact Ms. Fellin directly with any issues or questions.
