Fiscal Year
2005 Career and Technical Education Entitlements (State Funds) |
The final fiscal year 2005 state entitlements for
career and technical education for each school division, including regional
center entitlements, are contained in Attachment A. Regional center entitlements will be paid directly to each
centers fiscal agent. The amounts
contained in Attachment A will be paid to school divisions on June 16, 2005, by
electronic funds transfer.
State funds distributed to eligible school divisions are based upon actual expenditures from the prior fiscal year and the total funds appropriated by the General Assembly for occupational preparation and adult occupational programs. To determine each school divisions fiscal year 2005 allocation for occupational preparation and adult occupational programs, state funding is divided by the total fiscal year 2004 expenditures (both state and local funds) to determine the reimbursement percentage for each program. For fiscal year 2005, it has been determined that each eligible school division can be reimbursed for 27.64 percent of its fiscal year 2004 occupational preparation expenditures and for 31.46 percent of its fiscal year 2004 adult occupational program expenditures. Those school divisions that did not operate these programs in fiscal year 2004 and did not record any local expenditures in fiscal year 2004 will not receive a state reimbursement in fiscal year 2005.
Questions concerning the state entitlements may be addressed to Becky Marable (rebecca.marable@doe.virginia.gov), grants administrator, at (804) 225-3349.
