Training Opportunity: Medicaid and Schools |
The Virginia Department of Education is pleased to announce a training opportunity in Medicaid procedures for all school divisions. The training will be held at the Doubletree Hotel in Charlottesville on Monday, October 17, 2005, 7:30 a.m. 4:30 p.m. and Tuesday, October 18, 2005, 7:30 a.m. noon.

therapy, occupational therapy, and

pathology services
Training on
Monday regarding Medicaid documentation requirements is designed for
occupational, physical, and speech-language therapists, nurses, psychologists,
school social workers, audiologists, clinic and special education
paraprofessionals. Special education directors,
special education supervisors, school nurse coordinators, and school financial
officers also will receive information on how to implement and manage the
Medicaid Billing Program.
Training on
Tuesday is designed for new Medicaid service program administrators and program
administrators who want additional
training on the topics of Medicaid supervision, documentation requirements,
general office information, and administrative claiming to maximize school division
revenue.
The Virginia
Department of Education will provide breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon break
on Monday and breakfast only on Tuesday.
Participants will be responsible for their own lodging. There will be
exhibitors from 7:30 a.m. 5 p.m. on Monday, and from 7:30 a.m. 11 a.m. on
Tuesday.
The
