Career and
Technical Education Federal Perkins Act Revised Local Allocation for the
Period July 1, 2005, through June 30, 2006 |
Attached is
the list of revised fiscal year 2006 local allocations for federal Perkins
Grant funds, including fiscal year 2005 carry-over funds. These funds will be distributed on a
reimbursement basis.
Each school
division must submit a separate CTEMS 2B and 2C of the local plan, prior to
expenditure of these additional Perkins dollars. These carry-over funds must
be expended prior to any remaining allocated 2005 2006 Perkins funds. If
you have any questions concerning this local plan you may contact James A.
Gray, Jr. (Jim.Gray@doe.virginia.gov),
associate director, career and technical education, at 804-225-2833. School divisions may expend Perkins funds only
in accordance with the approved local plan.
School
divisions requiring reimbursement by June 30, 2006, must submit requests for
reimbursement by June 6, 2006. All
other division final requests for reimbursement must be received by August 12,
2006, based on actual expenditures incurred, which must have been encumbered by
June 30, 2006.
Funds for the
20052006 school year cannot be carried over to the 20062007 school year. Funds that are not claimed are reallocated
to all school divisions based on the federal formula. If you have questions concerning the cutoff date for expending
funds, please contact Elizabeth Russell, (Elizabeth.Russell@doe.virginia.gov),
director of career and technical education, at 804-225-2847.
