Progress Report |

|
|
Section 4116 of the Safe and
Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act (SDFSCA) under the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 requires the collection of
information about state and local implementation of the SDFSCA. States are required to submit information on
state and local programs conducted with assistance furnished through the
SDFSCA. Information from school
divisions is required for inclusion in the Virginia report to the United States
Department of Education.
This memo is to inform you that
the Safe and Drug-Free School coordinators were notified in early December that
the SDFSCA progress report for the fiscal year 2004 (July 1, 2004 June 30,
2005) must be submitted to the Virginia Department of Education no later than
January 27, 2006. Items in the report remain essentially unchanged from
previous years reports; however, the method of submitting reports has changed.
Progress reports are to be submitted online at the website http://www.safeanddrugfreeva.org.
The online submission form and full instructions for submission can be found at
this website.
Individual passwords have been
mailed to the SDFSCA school division coordinators. A password is required to order to log in to complete the report.
