Instruction Update |
Attached is a
revised list of correspondence schools whose courses may be used to comply with
Option (iii) of 22.1-254.1.A. of the Code
of Virginia pertaining to home instruction. The list identifies approved correspondence schools offering
academic courses satisfying this option, and should be made available to
parents who wish to use this option as a means of satisfying the home
instruction requirements.
The list
includes two new programs: CompuHigh of Morgantown, West Virginia, and
NorthStar Academy of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
In addition,
a link to information about approved driver education courses for home
instruction has been added to this departments website at http://www.doe.virginia.gov/VDOE/Parents/index.html.
This website provides information about driver education requirements for
parents who are home schooling their children.
