On behalf of
the Virginia Department of Education and the Board of Education, it is my
pleasure to announce that Governor Timothy M. Kaine
has signed a Certificate of Recognition declaring January 30 February 3,
2006, as Virginia Principals Appreciation Week.
I hope that your community will join me in acknowledging the tireless
efforts of school principals across the state.
Principals work diligently to help students and teachers excel, and
their leadership and hard work are essential to the success of our
schools. They deserve all the
recognition and praise we can give them.
I hope that
members of your community and other officials in your division will celebrate
Principals Appreciation Week by planning a special community event or some
other appropriate function.
